Etsy prohibits metaphysical services, naming reiki and distance healing, spellcasting, prayers and rituals, and permits tarot or psychic readings only when a tangible good is attached. Divina is a marketplace built only for spiritual services, where that work is the product rather than an exception.
What Etsy's policy actually says
Etsy's Services policy prohibits metaphysical services outright, naming reiki and distance healing, spellcasting, prayers and rituals, along with any item advertising a metaphysical outcome such as attracting wealth, love or employment. Etsy carves out one exception: tarot, psychic and other divination readings are allowed when they include a tangible good, such as photos of the spread, audio or video of the reading, or the text of the reading itself.
Read closely, that is not a ban on spirituality. It is a marketplace for objects deciding how much service it can tolerate, and landing on a rule where the artefact is the permitted part and the practice is the problem.
eBay reached the same conclusion earlier and banned supernatural goods and services outright in 2012.
Why the fit was always poor
- The listing form is built for objects: shipping profiles, variants, quantities, and processing times that do not describe a Working.
- The permitted path pushes you to bundle a shipped item with the work, which misprices the practice and adds fulfilment you never wanted.
- Fees stack per listing rather than per sale. Etsy charges $0.20 to list, 6.5% of the displayed price plus shipping as a transaction fee, payment processing that varies by country, and offsite ads fees on attributed orders.
- Policy risk sits permanently under the shop. A tidy-up of the rules is not an appeal you can win.
How Divina is different
Divina lists services only, which is the inverse of the constraint. Rituals, cleansings, readings, astrology and prayer are each their own offering type with intake, delivery windows and proof designed around them. Nothing ships, so nothing needs to be bundled.

The one thing Divina does restrict
Divina hosts protective, healing and intention-positive work only, and no physical goods. Baneful or coercive work is not permitted. That is a narrower boundary than a general marketplace's, and it is drawn around the work rather than around the tradition.

Can I still sell tarot readings on Etsy?

No. There is no exclusivity. Many practitioners keep an Etsy shop for objects and use Divina for the work that Etsy will not host.
