A natal chart reading interprets the sky at the moment you were born. You give an astrologer your birth date, exact time and city; they cast the chart and write it up. Full written natal readings on Divina run around $42, delivered inside the window on the listing.
The birth data you need, and why the time matters
An astrologer needs three things: your date of birth, the city, and the time as exactly as you can give it. The time is not a formality. It sets the rising sign and the house cusps, which is the entire framework the rest of the reading hangs on. A chart cast for noon because the time is unknown is a real chart, but it is a different and more limited one, and any honest astrologer will tell you which you are getting.
Birth certificates are the usual source. Some US states record the time and some do not. If you cannot find it, say so when you commission — astrologers work with unknown times routinely and will scope the reading accordingly rather than quietly guessing.
Natal, transit, and timing work are different purchases
- Natal chart reading — the chart you were born with, read as a whole. Bought once; it does not change.
- Transit or forecast reading — where the current sky sits against your natal chart, and what it activates. Bought for a period.
- Solar return — the chart for the year beginning at your birthday.
- Electional or timing work — choosing a date for something, read forward rather than back.
- Synastry — two charts read against each other.
If you are not sure which you want, describe the question instead of naming the product. "I want to understand why I keep repeating this" is a natal question. "Why does this year feel like this" is a transit question. Astrologers would rather scope it correctly than deliver the wrong reading well.
What a full written chart reading covers
Typically the big three placements, the angles, the pattern of the chart as a whole, the aspects that actually carry weight, and a synthesis that reads it as one thing rather than a list of positions. The difference between a good chart reading and a generated report is the synthesis: software can list that Mars is in the seventh house, but only a person can tell you what that has looked like in your life.
Cost, delivery and privacy
You describe your intention in your own words, pay when you place the request, and a private chat opens with the practitioner. They perform the work inside the delivery window stated on the listing and share proof when it is done.
Your birth data goes to the practitioner performing the reading and is not published anywhere. The help center covers the privacy of your intention in detail.
No practitioner on Divina may guarantee an outcome, and none of this is a substitute for medical, legal, financial or mental health care.

Common questions
What do I need for a birth chart reading?
Your date of birth, the city you were born in, and the time as precisely as you can give it. The birth time sets the rising sign and the house structure, so an exact time produces a substantially more specific reading. Astrologers can work without it — they will just tell you what the reading can and cannot cover.
How much does a natal chart reading cost?
Astrologers set their own prices on Divina. A full written natal chart reading runs around $42. Shorter focused work — a single transit question, a timing question — costs less. The price is on the listing before you commit.
What is the difference between a natal reading and a transit reading?
A natal reading interprets the chart you were born with, which never changes. A transit reading interprets where the current sky sits against that natal chart, so it is about a specific period. If your question is "who am I", that is natal. If it is "why now", that is transits.
Can an astrologer tell me when I will meet someone or get a job?
No. No practitioner on Divina may guarantee an outcome or an event, and predictive claims of that kind are an Acceptable Use violation. An astrologer can describe what a period tends to activate and what it may ask of you, which is a different and more honest offer.
Is my birth data kept private?
Yes. Your intention and the data you share go to the practitioner performing the work and nowhere else. See the help center article on the privacy of your intention.
