Where to buy spell work now that Etsy has banned it

Etsy's Services policy prohibits metaphysical services outright, naming spellcasting, prayers, rituals and distance healing, and permits divination readings only when a tangible good rides along. Enforcement tightened sharply in 2026, and a lot of long-standing shops disappeared. This is where that work is bought now.
What Etsy's policy actually says
Etsy's Services policy prohibits metaphysical services, naming reiki and distance healing, spellcasting, prayers and rituals, along with any item advertising a metaphysical outcome such as attracting wealth, love or employment. There is one carve-out: tarot, psychic and other divination readings are allowed when they include a tangible good — photos of the spread, audio or video of the reading, or the text of the reading itself.
So a written tarot reading could stay. A candle working could not. Nor could a listing for a physical object that promised what the object would do — which is how a great many sellers had structured their shops in order to stay inside the rules in the first place.
eBay reached the same conclusion much earlier, banning supernatural goods and services outright in 2012.
Why 2026 felt different
The policy was not new; the enforcement was. Through 2026, sellers reported takedowns and shop closures at a scale they had not seen before, including shops that had operated for years. It was covered as a wave rather than a change of rules, and the practical effect was that a large, established community of practitioners lost its storefront more or less at once.
If you had a reader or a worker you bought from for years and their shop vanished without warning, that is almost certainly what happened, and it was not personal.
Where the work is now
Displaced practitioners went in a few directions: their own websites and Instagram, Ko-fi and similar tip-and-commission tools, private client lists, and marketplaces built for services rather than objects. Divina is the last of those — a marketplace that lists spiritual services only, where a working does not have to be disguised as a candle to be allowed.
- The practitioner's own site or Instagram — best if you already know who you want, worst for discovering anyone new, and payment is on you to sort out.
- General marketplaces — still bound by the same policy, so the work is either absent or described in code.
- Divina — services are the product, prices and delivery windows are stated up front, payment is held until the practitioner delivers proof, and every practitioner is hand reviewed before their shop opens.
How buying here differs from buying an object
Nothing is shipped. There is no tracking number, because there is no parcel — the deliverable is the work and the proof of it. Payment is held until the practitioner delivers that proof, and the private order chat means you talk to the person doing the work rather than filling in a note-to-seller field and hoping.
Proof is evidence the work was performed, not evidence that it worked: the written reading itself, a photo of the spread or the altar, a recording, or a description of what was done and when.
Divina lists protective, healing and intention-positive work only. Nothing baneful, nothing coercive, and nothing worked to bend another person's will.

Where did the Etsy witches go?
Mostly to their own sites and Instagram, to commission and tip tools, to private client lists, and to marketplaces built for services rather than physical goods. Divina is one of the last of those: it lists spiritual services only, so a working does not have to be structured as an object to be permitted.
Is buying spell work on Divina safer than a random Instagram DM?
It is a different arrangement. Practitioners are hand reviewed before their shop opens, prices and delivery windows are stated on the listing, payment is held until proof is delivered, and there is a flagging route if an order goes wrong. None of that is a guarantee about the work itself, which nobody can give you.
I am a practitioner who lost my Etsy shop. What do I do?
