Hire a tarot reader or psychic for a wedding

Last updated

Couples book a tarot reader or psychic for a wedding in three ways: a reading for the two of them in the weeks before, readings for guests as a reception favour, or a live session for the wedding party the night before. On Divina you commission a named practitioner at a flat price, with the work delivered remotely.

Booking a reader for an event?

Wedding readers: say the date, the headcount, the city and the format, and we will source the right practitioner — in person where we can, live over video where we cannot.

Optional

We confirm availability and price with you before anything is booked or paid.

What a reader adds to a wedding, and where

  • For the couple, before the day. A reading on the year you are walking into, or a synastry reading of both birth charts. The most commissioned of the three, usually ordered by one partner as a gift or by a parent or the maid of honour.
  • For the guests, at the reception. Short written readings ordered ahead and placed at each setting, or a single one-card pull per guest delivered as a card they take home. A favour people keep, which is rarer than it sounds.
  • For the wedding party, the night before. A live video session for the bridesmaids or the whole party, five minutes a person, playful by design. Often what the bachelorette guide describes, moved to the rehearsal dinner.

The limit, said plainly

Divina lists remote work. A reader working a table at the reception in person is a local hire, and if that is what you want, the request form on this page is how to ask: give the city, the date and the headcount, and Divina will try to source someone. Everything else on this page is work a practitioner delivers from where they are, which for a wedding is most of what people actually book.

Psychic, tarot or astrologer for a wedding

Tarot is the natural fit for guests: visual, quick, easy to enjoy whether or not anyone believes in it. For the couple themselves, a synastry reading from an astrologer is the piece of work people remember, because it is specific to the two of you in a way a deck is not. A psychic or intuitive reading sits between the two, and some couples commission one for each partner privately rather than together.

Timing

Guest readings for a reception of eighty are eighty pieces of work, so commission them a month or more ahead and expect the practitioner to say so if the window is tight. A synastry reading is hours of chart work and needs both birth dates, times and cities. The night-before session can be booked closer, but readers' calendars fill around popular wedding weekends.

Keeping it right for a wedding

No practitioner on Divina will predict whether a marriage lasts, read a guest who did not ask, or read either partner for the other without their knowledge. Those lines are Acceptable Use, and they are also what makes a wedding reading a warm thing rather than a loaded one. Say lightly on the day that the readings are entertainment and reflection, and let guests opt in.

How it works

You describe your intention in your own words, pay when you place the request, and a private chat opens with the practitioner. They perform the work inside the delivery window stated on the listing and share proof when it is done.

Proof is evidence the work was performed, not evidence that it worked: the written reading itself, a photo of the spread or the altar, a recording, or a description of what was done and when.

No practitioner on Divina may guarantee an outcome, and none of this is a substitute for medical, legal, financial or mental health care.

Common questions

Can I hire a tarot reader for my wedding reception?

Through Divina you can commission readings for your guests ahead of the day and hand them out at the reception, or book a live video session for the wedding party. An in-person reader at the venue is a local hire; use the request form with the city and date and Divina will try to source one.

What do people book a psychic or tarot reader for at a wedding?

Most often a reading for the couple before the day — a year-ahead reading or a synastry reading of both charts — and short per-guest readings given out as favours. A live session for the wedding party the night before is the third common booking.

How far ahead should I book?

A month or more for per-guest readings, because every guest is a separate piece of work. Chart work for the couple needs weeks. Practitioners will not compress a stated delivery window because the wedding date is fixed.

How much does a wedding reader cost?

Per-guest readings are priced per reading, so the total scales with the guest list. One-question tarot readings on Divina start at $5, and most are $7.45 to $12 (from 9 live listings). A couple's synastry reading is priced as two charts plus the comparison, and a live session by its length. Everything is agreed in chat before you pay.
