Hire a psychic or tarot reader for a sorority event

Last updated

Sorority chapters book psychics and tarot readers for sisterhood events, Halloween socials, big-little reveals and formals, because a reading is personal in a way a mixer is not. Divina lets a social chair book a named practitioner at a flat price: one live video session for the chapter, or short readings for each member.

Booking a reader for an event?

Sorority events: say the date, the headcount, the city and the format, and we will source the right practitioner — in person where we can, live over video where we cannot.

Optional

We confirm availability and price with you before anything is booked or paid.

Events chapters book readers for

  • Sisterhood events: the easiest fit. A live session in the chapter room, members taking turns, the rest watching.
  • Halloween socials and spooky-season week: the most popular booking of the year, and the one to arrange earliest because every reader's October fills.
  • Big-little reveal week: a one-card pull for each new member, written ahead and tucked into the reveal basket.
  • Formals and date nights: short readings as a station, which is better done in person and is what the request form on this page is for.
  • Philanthropy nights: readings sold as a fundraiser, with the practitioner's fee agreed in advance and the rest going to the cause.
  • Finals week and senior send-offs: career and year-ahead readings for members leaving, which is where the career tarot guide comes in.

Formats, by chapter size

A live video session suits a group of up to about fifteen, at roughly five minutes a member. A chapter of sixty cannot sit through that, so for a whole-chapter event order per-member readings ahead instead: every member sends one question, a short written or recorded reading comes back to each, and the event becomes the reveal. For a station at a formal, you want a reader physically there, and that is a local hire Divina will try to source through the request form.

Psychic or tarot reader

Tarot is what most chapters book, because the spread is something a room can watch. A psychic or intuitive reading is quieter and more personal, and tends to work better as the individual format than the group one. Many practitioners offer both; say which you want when you message them, and say the tone, which for a social is usually light.

Keeping it safe and optional

Readings are entertainment and reflection, and the event should say so. Nobody is read who has not asked, no practitioner on Divina will read someone's crush, ex or roommate behind their back, and none will predict an outcome: those are Acceptable Use lines, not preferences. A member in real difficulty needs a counsellor, not a card, and a good reader will say so.

Booking it as the social chair

  1. Message the practitioner through their shop with the date, headcount, format and the chapter's budget. Readers price per reading or per session and will tell you what the budget buys.
  2. Agree the scope in chat before booking. The price you agree is the price charged; there is no per-minute meter.
  3. Pay through Divina, which holds the payment until the work is delivered, and keeps the receipt the treasurer will ask for.
  4. For a batch of per-member readings, collect questions a few weeks ahead. The practitioner will say how.

Lead time and price

Three to four weeks for a session; longer for a chapter-wide batch, and longer still in October. Per-member readings are priced per reading. One-question tarot readings on Divina start at $5, and most are $7.45 to $12 (from 9 live listings). Psychic and mediumship readings on Divina start at $11.99, and most are $33.33 to $44.44 (from 11 live listings). A live session is priced by its length.

How it works

You describe your intention in your own words, pay when you place the request, and a private chat opens with the practitioner. They perform the work inside the delivery window stated on the listing and share proof when it is done.

No practitioner on Divina may guarantee an outcome, and none of this is a substitute for medical, legal, financial or mental health care.

Common questions

Can we get a psychic or tarot reader at our sorority house in person?

Divina's practitioners work remotely, so what you book here directly is a live video session or readings commissioned for each member. For someone in the room, use the request form with the campus, date and headcount and Divina will try to source a local reader, with the video session as the fallback.

How much does a tarot reader for a sorority event cost?

A live session is priced by its length; per-member readings are priced per reading, so a chapter-wide batch scales with the roster. One-question tarot readings on Divina start at $5, and most are $7.45 to $12 (from 9 live listings). Agree the budget in chat first; the price does not change on the night.

Can readings be a philanthropy fundraiser?

Yes. Agree the practitioner's fee for a set number of readings in advance, charge members or guests per reading on the night, and the difference goes to the cause. Keep the practitioner's fee separate from what is raised so both are clear.

Will the reader read someone who is not there?

No. No practitioner on Divina reads a third party without their knowledge, which rules out the crush, the ex and the roommate. Members are read about their own year, their own question, with their own consent.
