Distance reiki and energy healing sessions
Last updated
Distance reiki and energy healing are performed remotely by a practitioner on your behalf, either at an agreed time or inside the listing's delivery window. Etsy prohibits reiki and distance healing outright; Divina lists services, so it does not have to be disguised as anything else.
How a distance session actually runs
There are two shapes and the listing tells you which you are buying. In a scheduled session you and the practitioner agree a time; you rest quietly wherever you are while they work, and they write up what they noticed afterwards. In a commissioned session the practitioner works inside their delivery window and sends you the account when it is done — you do not need to be doing anything in particular.
Practitioners typically ask for a photograph, your full name, and what is going on — physically, emotionally, or both. Some ask you to set aside twenty minutes to be still. What comes back is usually a written account of where they found tension or depletion and what they did about it.
The claim that is not permitted
Energy healing is not medical treatment and no practitioner on Divina may present it as one. Nobody here may tell you to stop a medication, decline a treatment, delay seeing a doctor, or claim to cure or treat a diagnosed condition. Those are Acceptable Use violations and they are the reason to read a listing carefully before commissioning.
What honest practitioners describe instead is the experience: rest, relief, a sense of something loosening. That is a real thing to want and it does not require an overclaim to be worth paying for.
Why you cannot buy this on the big marketplaces
Etsy's Services policy names reiki and distance healing specifically among the metaphysical services it prohibits, with no tangible-good carve-out of the kind divination readings get. That is why practitioners in this modality largely sell through their own sites, private lists, or a marketplace built for services.
What arrives
You describe your intention in your own words, pay when you place the request, and a private chat opens with the practitioner. They perform the work inside the delivery window stated on the listing and share proof when it is done.
Proof is evidence the work was performed, not evidence that it worked: the written reading itself, a photo of the spread or the altar, a recording, or a description of what was done and when.
No practitioner on Divina may guarantee an outcome, and none of this is a substitute for medical, legal, financial or mental health care.

Common questions
Does distance reiki work if the practitioner is not in the room?
Distance work is standard practice within reiki and has been for a long time, and it is what Divina lists. Whether it produces what you hope is not something any practitioner may guarantee — reiki is offered here for wellbeing and personal reflection, never as medical treatment.
Can a reiki practitioner treat a medical condition?
No. No practitioner on Divina may claim to cure, treat or diagnose anything, or tell you to stop or delay medical care. That is an Acceptable Use violation and reportable. Energy healing is not a substitute for medical care.
Do I need to be present during a distance session?
It depends on the listing. Scheduled sessions ask you to be still at an agreed time; commissioned sessions are performed inside the delivery window with no participation needed. The listing says which before you pay.
Why is reiki banned on Etsy?
Etsy's Services policy prohibits metaphysical services and names reiki and distance healing explicitly. Unlike tarot and psychic readings, there is no tangible-good exception for it, so the modality has no compliant form on that platform.
