Paid prayer, said plainly
Many people find the idea of paying for prayer uncomfortable, and it is worth addressing directly rather than around. What you are paying for is a practitioner's time, attention and practice, in the same way you would pay for any other skilled work performed on your behalf. Free prayer exists everywhere and always has; a great many faith communities will pray for you at no cost, and if that is what you want, it is genuinely available.
What a commission gives you that a prayer chain does not is a named person, in a tradition you chose, working on an intention you wrote, who tells you when it was done. Some people want that specificity. Others do not, and that is a reasonable conclusion to reach on this page.
Tradition matters here more than anywhere else
Practitioners on Divina come from many traditions, and prayer is the category where the fit between your tradition and theirs matters most. A practitioner's shop states what they practice. If you want prayer said within a specific faith, filter for it and read the practitioner's own words before commissioning rather than assuming.
Practitioners will also tell you when a request sits outside their practice. That is a good outcome, not a failed one.

What you receive
You describe your intention in your own words, pay when you place the request, and a private chat opens with the practitioner. They perform the work inside the delivery window stated on the listing and share proof when it is done.
For prayer, proof is usually an account of what was said, when, and in what form — sometimes with a photograph of the candle or altar. It is a record that it was done, not a claim about what follows.
No practitioner on Divina may guarantee an outcome, and none of this is a substitute for medical, legal, financial or mental health care.

Is it wrong to pay for prayer?
That is a question about your own tradition and conscience rather than one Divina should answer for you. What you are paying for is a practitioner's time and practice. Free prayer is widely available through faith communities, and if that is what you want, it genuinely is available at no cost.
Can I choose the tradition the prayer is said in?
Yes, and you should. Practitioners state their tradition on their shop, and prayer is the category where the fit matters most. Read a practitioner's own description before commissioning; they will also decline a request that sits outside their practice.
How much does an online prayer request cost?
Practitioners set their own prices. Prayer and blessing listings are priced by each practitioner, and the price is shown on the listing before you pay. The price and the delivery window are on the listing.
Can I request prayer for someone else?
Yes, and it is one of the most common requests. Practitioners generally ask that the person knows and consents where that is possible — a prayer for someone is different from work directed at them, and Divina does not list the latter.
