Rest omens

Rest is the theme for the pause your body has been asking for, and for letting that pause count as part of the day. Its cards tend to speak in low light and slow rhythms: a garden left fallow for a season, an ember covered for the night so it can be uncovered later, a long breath let out at the end of a long stretch. They do not treat stopping as failure. They set down what has been carried past its hour and let your rhythm be your own, not matched to anyone else’s clock. Rest here protects what is not yet ready to blaze, and keeps the hearth warm until it is.
