The Slow Tide

Your rhythm does not need to match anyone else's clock. Tides keep faith with rhythm rather than clocks, honoring the pace your body is actually keeping.

The tide does not check the time. It comes in when it comes in, pulled by something larger than a schedule, and the shoreline adjusts. This card points at the pace your body is actually keeping today: the afternoon slump you have been arguing with, the early hour when your thinking is clearest, the need for a longer evening than the calendar allows. Other people’s rhythms are real, but they are not yours. Standing barefoot where the water reaches, you can feel that the line moves on its own terms. There is rest in letting your day follow the pull it already has instead of the one printed on the wall.

You might sit for two minutes and notice where your energy is right now, without judging it. High, low, or somewhere in the shallows. Then pick one thing on your list and move it to the hour when your body seems most willing to meet it. If nothing can move today, simply knowing your own tide line is enough.
