The Seed Pocket

Carry possibility lightly; it knows when to open. A seed pocket holds many futures without choosing early, giving imagination room before plans.

A pocket full of seeds is not yet a garden, and it does not have to be. Each seed keeps its own instructions folded inside, waiting for the right soil and the right week. This card points at the ideas you are carrying around unplanted: the half-formed project, the trip you keep imagining, the sentence that shows up in the shower. There is no rush to sort them into a plan. Some possibilities do better in the dark of a pocket than under the pressure of a schedule. Carrying them lightly is a kind of trust. You are letting them stay alive without asking them to prove what they are yet.

You might empty the pocket for a moment: write down every idea you are carrying, without ranking them or deciding which ones deserve to grow. Then fold the list and put it somewhere out of sight, a drawer, a coat pocket, the back of a notebook. Before you close it away, thank the ideas for keeping you company, and let them stay seeds a little longer.
